Seems to me like the Heisman was a legit trophy up until about 1989 when Andre Ware won it. I guess Ware was legit because of who else was running even though i thought Major Harris from West Virginia was a better football player than Ware. The Heisman is nothing more than a popularity contest and has nothing to do with who the best player is anymore.
