So, if I understand your correctly, you are endorsing the negative recruiting aspect of college football? What Jones was saying on the trip wasn't the truth. Phelon is a great player, but his dad has his problems.
How do you know what was said between Jones and Mark Barron? Do you know these people? Not trying to start anything, just curious to where this info is coming from.
Tony's statements were relayed to me from people down there. I have no reason to doubt them. Specifically, people at St. Paul's that deal with their S&C work. It was backed up by a few statements coming out of our Ath. Dept. on the matter. I'm not saying that Tony was the key thing that made Barron stick with Alabama. I am saying that what he was saying didn't sit well with Mark. What you are hearing and what I'm being told may differ, but I have no reason to doubt what's being relayed to me.
I get you. But those guys you are mentioning, I know them well enough that I was with them last weekend. They lyin to ya.
I would believe that TB3 has a pretty good handle on what comes out of St. Pauls since he graduated from there. Based on what I hear from one of my Mobile co-workers, who is a pretty involved high school booster at McGill, Phelon's dad would do better service to LSU if he just stayed away from any kids we are recruiting.
