The Mardi Gras krewes (with the obvious exception of Zulu) have had a history of racially motivated decisions. I would not doubt that part of their motivation was a shot at JJ and Miles.
It doesn't matter if they intended it to be a shot or not but the fact that people will perceive it as a shot is the bigger deal...and people will definitely take it as a shot. Since when do backup QBs and O-lineman get picked for this stuff? But I don't really care, I'm happy for them.
Hahaha, that's funny. Better than Jefferson though, the parade would stop and wouldn't be able to go anywhere.
It would probably go backwards, down the wrong street, dump all of the beads on the ground, and then get mad at all of the spectators for not catching them.
It is a shot, or a statement, a joke, or whatever term you want to use. Lee and Hebert were chosen because they are news following the game. Why are they news? Because they did not play. Why did they not play? That goes back to Miles. If people were not talking about them then they would not be Grand Marshals.....of a Metairie parade.....that nobody talks about.
