He could be homesick also like T Martin was! Heck, the southeast is so different than the left coast! Wish him well if he stays or geauxs!
cant be gt or tas. definately not mason. just transferred and has only one yr left. unlikely to be martin because he just transferred. is there a limit to the # of transfers? rolle. cant handle the pressure? -if he'd just lay off the ganga he would get something done.
Then it's Dameon. He finished 4 years, and can get his master and leave if he's just tired of benchwarming for an underachieving team.
Rolle would be a fool to leave here. Tasmin's godfather is Butch, so he stays. Garret is definitely not going to leave his family legacy.
Yeah, as this recruiting season was running on and on, you just had to look at the numbers and the signings, and wonder who makes the room? My bet would be on these guys in this order: Voogd Farrer Martin Mason Rolle Johnson sort of in that order. Why? Voogd has just not quite panned out in the very physical SEC, would probably like to play more in a softer league. Unless Cgisclair is right, Farrer is another out of state west coast guy, who might get a little more PT at a west coast conference, perhaps where the Zag's play or Mountain west or something. Mason and Martin, unlikely, but seeing as how the Tigers signed Thornton, the backcourt starts to get a little crowded. Rolle, I'd be disappointed b/c he is slotted to be the guy with the most experience coming back on the front line. True he has to split time with a 5* high school recruit in Anthony Randolph and a JUCO guy in Q Thornton, but c'mon you're a 5* guy yourself and if you can't compete with these guys for split time... (I hope it's not a Gransberry deal again). Johnson same reasons above. On, Martin, I could see leaving b/c of his penchant for being a little bit of a "me first" guy. This is a little quick to judge, but here's a guy who shot the ball alot and didn't seem to do a lot else. You've got Marcus Thornton now coming in who can also shoot. Hopefully, between Temple, Thornton, Mason and Martin, though there can be a decent guard rotation, and the guys will come back to constitute perhaps the first "guard" oriented attack in Brady's career. In light of the UConn press recently about Calhoun "pushing" guys to transfer, I'll just make a couple quick comments. One, Brady's criticisms of "attrition" are a little unfair--when it's very common place at programs. If players are "encouraged" to leave at UConn and other places, I'm not quite sure why Brady's called out. I agree in a few cases it's hurt--Neltner and Gransberry probably come to mind this year, but by and large, if there is a schollie open for better talent, you've got to consider the chance to upgrade (and if we lose Voogd, but sign Beverly, I'm not so heartbroken--it may ultimately work out better for both kids). On the other hand, I HAVE always had some beef with Brady's substitution patterns. If he's going to build a more solid recruiting base and depth, he's going to have to trust his bench recruits more, and devise better schemes to utilize them. Sometimes you can't completely escape the fact that your bench isn't "SEC caliber", but I kind believe that if these kids at Air Force, Butler, Southern Illinois, VCU, George Mason and other schools can hang with the big boy teams, LSU can find a way to utilize guys like Voogd or Johnson (if they stay 3 or 4 years and mature like they do at the mid majors) a little better. I felt that this year, going to a more uptempo game couldn't have hurt with guys like Mason who can come off the bench. Regardless, I believe that when this spring recruiting season shakes out, we'll see more movement and a very interesting offseason. :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. ONE FINAL FOUR AIN'T BAD.
In regards to players leaving, I saw four players listed in the local newspaper that have left the Vols this year. Still Pearl is the hero of anti Brady crowd. I doubt Martin will leave, he was in the starting rotation at the end of the year and will get a lot of playing time if he stays.
lol, he aint my hero and try to even start comparing the two coaches... what he's done for that program is near unprecedented possibly only Gillespie has turned around a cellar dweller that quickly
