I was looking over the list of LSU players currently on NFL rosters on espn.com and I came across Marcus Randall.

Didn't know he was in Green Bay....and what further surprised me is that he's listed AS A LINEBACKER!!!!!!!

I know of college QB's that have gone to the NFL and made it at other positions like Brian Mitchell from QB to RB...Scott Frost played safety....Antwan Randle El is a WR....Seneca Wallace plays some WR with Seattle....but a LINEBACKER?!?!

I saw Marcus at Hooters a couple of months back for UFC 69. There was a big promo going on for this local MMA league, and I've heard him mentioned as a 'celebrity' appearance at their fights.

Great to hear about Marcus! I liked his attitude, team spirit, work ethic, leadership. He seemed like a solid citizen to me. When he was drafted by Tenn. Titans, he played one year at safety (where I thought he would), and the second year he moved to linebacker but didn't make the team at LB. I thought he'd be a little small to play LB in the pros, but he may have gained weight. I wish him all the best.

Then there's Matt Jones from Arky playing WR for Jacksonville, and doing pretty well from what I have seen so far. He made some highlight catches. What is he, like 6' 6"? Pretty tall dude.

Wow, that's surprising! Last I knew, he was being considered as a safety for the Titans.
Did he look like he gained a lot of mass??

Randall was listed at 212 lbs I believe. Hard to imagine 212 lbs. to be big enough for a linebacker in the pros, but I guess it's not too far off what seems to be the standard 225 lbs for an OLB.

Since he was moved to LB, it leads me to believe that he probably wasn't fluid or fast enough as a safety. But if he gained a little more mass, then he probably would make an adequate special teams LB as a pro.

Well, it's a little difficult to compare since I had never seen him that close before. I mean, he walked within like 3 feet of my table. Definitely a big dude, either way. No way he was only 212, though. I'd have guessed around 225-230.

And you would be correct. The Packers' website has him listed at 232 lbs. Don't know why ESPN had him at 212???
