Berge all the projections had us at a 6 yesterday. With todays loss we might be 7 8 just depends. I dont see us being any worse then a 8 or any higher then a 6. The NCAA will be interesting and I like our chances but it depends on our match ups. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Usually a loss in the semis of a conference tournament does not hurt a team's seeding. Think about it this way: every team but one in every conference loses. http://bracketproject.50webs.com/matrix.htm Every 6 and 7 seed (I think) lost on that matrix. Tennessee is the only 8-seed still alive.
Re: Tournament Seeding. I think a wise person said this weeks ago... I'm a little disappointed with today's performance certainly, b/c this year was a year well set up for a LSU SEC tourney title, but the ole' 3 times in a row adage is a true one. Hard match up for LSU considering the 2 prior games where LSU stomped Miss St. You would have liked to see the Tigers a little sharper going into to next week. But, this give CTJ a LOT to talk about during practice this week. LSU probably is a solid 6 or 7. Hopefully, they put LSU in the South and close to home. Not a lot of travelling far the first weekend, is what I'll be watching and keep us away from the big bruiser teams of the Big East or Big 10.
How bout dem Utes?!? Translation: Utah just won their conference tournament and is going to the dance. I don't think it makes much difference, but our loss to Utah was to a decent team at least...
looks like a 7 seed. 6 would be better and 8 much worse, not because of oppt because thats a negligible difference, but because of the 2nd rd oppt. so before we can go dig up the details on the matchup, we'll see the seed and know how possible sweert 16 will be. would lsu face UNC or Nova. big difference.
