There's still a lot of time for injuries etc... but everytime I see Louisville they really present problems for a wide variety of teams regardless of styles.

Syracuse too... Man the big east is ridiculous

The Big East is always like that, however I like Wake and UNC in the ACC. Oklahoma is a beast, that kid Griffin at 6'10 is a lottery pick if he decides to come out. I hope he doesnt.

    try

    http://bracketology101.blogspot.com/

"On top of correctly predicting 64 of the 65 tournament teams last year, Bracketology 101 also became the first Bracketology site to ever seed 40 teams exactly and 60 teams within one seed line of their actual seed."

like lunardi, bracketmatrix has lsu at an average seed of 7 from 59 bracket predictions. however, only 9 of these were updated as recently as yesterday.

"victor monroe,la: andy do you think lsu will make the ncaa tournament this year?

SportsNation Andy Katz: Yes. The Tigers are dominating the SEC West. LSU's nonconference schedule was weak and the Tigers didn't handle any of their high-major games. But the Tigers will get a bid, barring a collapse. The seed, though, should be closer to double digits based on their overall body of work."

Is this the Joe Lunardi guy that does this?

I find it more than fascinating as to his accuracy. I don't get how he can come that close. It tells me there must be a formula for seeding these teams, but then how does he know which region they go into? They must have general rules for that as well I suppose.

LSU needs to desperately get to a 6 seed. They are inching their way there.

Re: Lets talk Ncaa Tournament seeding and possible positioning

I would like to see 4 "play-in" games, giving 3 more teams access to make the field of 64. Screw the NIT, they don't need these teams. They need to do away with the NIT completely.

That's 68 teams, with 4 games deciding the #16 seed in each bracket.

With 3 more teams making it, that virtually eliminates the "I can't believe they got hosed" squawking we hear every year.

    Anybody with me on this?

there will be bitching no matter what.

our seed doesnt matter as much as the matchup so hoping for a number is kind of pointless.

well being #6 vs #8 is a mega difference, so yes it's not just a number

but you are correct, it also will depend on which region we end up in and whether we matchup well

Being #8 and going up against a #9 Arizona in the opening round. No thanks.

#6 vs #11 "should" give us a much better chance overall. Still has to do with matchups ultimately, but it should be an "easier" game for us.

#6 vs. #3 in the 2nd round, vs #8 vs #1, that's a slam dunk which is one better
