Do you think that the illegality of dogfighting is not a product of the communities morals? What is it a product of then?

Who knows what some laws are a product of. In louisiana it is illegalto have anal sex with your wife. Do you really think that law exists because the majority find it against their morals what 2 consenting adults do behind closed doors?

It was considered so at one time. If you are against dogfighting and you think a community does not have a right to impose it's morals in the form of laws, why do you think dogfighting should be illegal? It's not a moral issue? What is it?, hygiene? Noise pollution?

I am against dogfighting. However, I do not have the right to tell you what to believe/feel. If you think it is the majority forcing their own personal morals on people, how do you explain skateboarding being outlawed in many cities acroos this country. What is morally outrageous about that?

Forcing your beliefs on people because you can is pretty much what the Nazi's did. The Chinese do something rather similar to this day. Regardless of how many people have your back, you cannot impose your feelings on others.

You continue to argue why morals are not a factor by bringing up every issue you can, except dogfighting. I never said every law is a product of community morals but they are a product of the community nonetheless.
I will ask it again, since you are clearly against dogfighting and you acknowledge that it is illegal.

Why do you think dogfighting should be illegal?

I'm not sure how talking about dogfighting in my previous post is talking about everything EXCEPT dogfighting. It kinda seems as though dogfighting is included in my post. I'll be nice, and highlught it for you. Along with my view about IMPOSING MY MORALS on others.

Glad you are choosing to be nice.

You have mentioned legislating left handed people, having anal sex with your wife, and now skateboarding when it comes to morals and a communities right to impose them. You have repeatedly said you are against dogfighting, and that you cannot impose your morals on others, but you refuse to answer a direct question. If you agree that dogfighting is and should be illegal, on what grounds do you believe so?

you are still talking about he most pointless aspect of this issue. it depends on what you mean by "have the right". legally, americans can and do ban almost anything they want for moral reasons. thats isnt the issue. the issue is whether they should. your logic appears to be that they should because they can, and you go around in circles with that. i do not see your point, everyone knows we can ban whatever we want if we get enough people to ask for it.

The point is quite clear. You think people should be able to do anything they want to, as long as it does no harm to others. You think that dogfighting does no harm to others and I disagree The fact that a law exists proves me to be right in this instance. You have clearly stated that you think the law is hypocritical. I disagree.

If you don't see the point, then stop reading.
