I think you would see the exact same result, and maybe even a loss to bama if they played again, they caught bama at the perfect time. I'm not sold on johnny as the heisman winner, but really I'm not sold on any of the candidates. Johnny faced three good defenses this year, he had a good game against one of them, the other two held him in check and even exposed him a bit, I still think johnny is a product of the system, but has great athletic ability, that's what makes him special, this guy in a pro style offense under center would not be near as productive, with all that being said AI could not argue if he won it, I just think being a freshman will hurt him with some voters.
After the way LSU closed the season with those TOTAL and COMPLETE defensive dominations of two BAD football teams, I'm positive we can say w/o a doubt LSU we would see the same result.
as the seasons last games were played my feeling went from thinking manziel may win the heisman to being shocked if he doesn't. i can't think of any other player having the hype build week after week like he has without any real down game.
unmotivated tiger team after losing a big game. happens all the time. the result against tamu would be different because lsu would drub them.
Unmotivated teams don't win championships...............is that what is wrong here??? If so, how does THAT get addressed???? BTW, LSU played Ole Miss and Arkansas AFTER beating MSU..................don't think the Alabama hangover effect still applies. My original point was that A&M is on a "hot" streak now and playing with alot of confidence, to say LSU closed the season in the same manner is quite the stretch. In a multi game playoff A&M, IMO would do very well.
It is being reported by Houston TV stations that Manziel was arrested last summer and spent a night in jail. I believe it was a bar room scuffle. Not sure how this will affect his Heisman chances.
