Yep, he had no Td passes, 3 sacks and 3 Ints. LSU mixed up the pressure on him, many times they just tried to contain him. They did one of the better jobs on him this year.

I'd vote Honey Bager. Oh wait. Manziel has been pretty impressive, but I'd look to the D and see who stood out there. Don't really like the Heisman, shallow award voted on by sheep.

There's no way McCarron should sniff this award. He had the benefit of a great defense, great run game, and good protection. He didn't single handedly beat anyone this year. He blew the aTm game at the end too.

Manziel single-handedly won all their close games this year. He had a crappy defense to work with so the pressure was there every game and he came through in all except 2. The Bama game makes up for the LSU game for him. People will remember beating #1 on the road more than losing at home to LSU.

Plus he's the only player in SEC history to have 3000 passing yards & 1000 rushing yards.

Klein was great and consistent but he blew it in their loss. He didn't blow me away in any performance really and was an average passer.

No one on Oregon deserves consideration due to getting numbers against weak opponents.

Don't fault Manziel his team 'only' went 10-2. It goes to the most outstanding player and he was that.

No. The outstanding player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. ... Of course these words haven't meant anything for a long time.

But... he's a freshman, right? Freshmen can't win the Popularity award.

Tried telling you all this before we played him. Kid is legit. I mancrushed him as soon as I knew week 2 he will eventually beat all of my poor Timmy's records. I must love him. It's the natural progression of things. Also timmy would come out of the closet if not for his faith.

Manziel looks a little slingbladeish. Not sure yet if he's gay or not as well but it is usually a requirement to get in a&m. If there was ever a college to officially come out, that would be it.
