There will be no picture of the coveted Manly Man Award trophy of the Truck Nutz Ballz this week. We all know what if looks like and the pic derailed last weeks Awards thread before it got started. Offense: We could just give it to Leonard Fournette now for the rest of the year and be done with it but there are other deserving winners too. Fournette of course. Last night on the post game show Allen Risher asked callers to come up with a nickname for Fournette. All names by callers were pretty dumb. I didn't call but how about The Buga Man. Leonard's family has already trademarked Buga Nation so why not? The entire offensive line gets the award this week. Magnificent teamwork in opening holes time after time for Fournette as well as Darius Guice and Darrell Williams. And this week were relatively penalty free. Brandon Harris- Showed poise and continued improvement. Not spectacular by his running at key times help keep drives going and for the first time in his career was a true "Game Manager." Only threw 2 bad passes, both aimed at Travin Dural and both would have been touchdowns. The pass to Colin Jeter over the middle was a good pass but shouldn't have been thrown. He almost got Jeter killed. Honorable Mention - Colin Jeter. Not only scored a TD but blocked effectively and proved his manhood by returning to the game after nearly being decapitated. Defense: Jamal Adams. One interception and almost another that would have been a pick 6 and icing on the purple and gold cake. Played solid D throughout. Davon Goudchaux - Was a force against the pass and constantly harassed Jeremy Johnson. Honorable Mention - Kevin Tolliver II. Quietly did his job and while his name was rarely mentioned that's a good sign. Auburn didn't try throwing to his coverage much. Coaching: I had hoped against hope that I might be able to give a Manly Man Truck Nutz Ballz trophy to Les Miles but I have to give him one for this one. Outstanding game preparation. The team came loaded for War Eagle from the opening kickoff. Miles let his assistants do their jobs and run his game plan and didn't have any mental mistakes or clock meltdown. And Les didn't melt down even wearing a jacket in 120 degree heat. O Line coach Jeff Grimes for his teaching and preparation of the line. For them to play this cohesive this early in the season protends for a dominating season.
