    You can't handle the truth!

Besides... just as he said he wouldn't look at changes until after the bowl game, he has repeatedly said that if pressured to speak about critical issues regarding the team, he wouldn't tell the truth anyway if he spoke at all. The man is just keeping his cards hidden, not to mention maintaining a #1 recruiting class, preparing for a bowl game, etc...

You disagree with how he does things, we get it. Now leave the poor horse alone, it's dead ffs.:dis:

I have said it before, Miles can continue to handle his business like he has been. To put together a stretch like he has is remarkable. If he can continue to win some SEC titles, put us in some Good Bowl Games, and win a NC every few years he can stay as long as he wants as far as I am concerned. I don't even mind a down year once in a while. We are now one of the Elite programs in the country.:milesmic:

Recruits are smarter than you imagine. They don't pay a lot of attention to what fans say because every fan has something different to say and few know what they are talking about. They hear more from the coaches directly than from "the fans". The honesty that the coaches have towards them is all that matters. That is the way it should be.

What does a recruit care is some impatient fan wants daily briefings from Les and is upset if he doesn't get it? Not a damn thing.

Supposedly the job is likely to be taken by Bama OC McElwain.

Which I am more than happy Bama has to go through yet another OC and Randle's decision could be sealed to LSU. :thumb:

The Mallory thing is with the New Mexico Lobos, where they are looking for a DC

The McElwain rumor is in regards to the New Mexico State Aggies, where they are looking for a head coach (Dewayne Walker actually interviewed with them twice, reportedly).

Yeah, I have no idea why I posted that here.

Still great news regarding the recruitment of Randle, though.

Mallory confirms he is leaving LSU PDF

ATLANTA - LSU co-defensive coordinator Doug Mallory confirmed after the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Wednesday night that he is leaving LSU to become defensive coordinator at New Mexico.

"This is my last one," he said, referring to LSU's resounding 38-3 victory over No. 14-ranked Georgia Tech in the Georgia Dome.

Mallory was long-rumored to be the leading candidate for the job.

"I've only been there one day," Mallory said with a smile. He said he is scheduled to report to his new job on Saturday.

Mallory and co-coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto - who is leaving to be head coach at Northwestern State - came under heavy criticism this season as LSU's defense struggled. The Tigers were ranked last in the SEC in pass defense and gave up 31 or more points five times, though several of those scores were on interception returns by the opposition.

The Tigers may have saved their best for last under Mallory and Peveto. Tigers allowed 314 yards total offense but forced three turnovers and held the Yellow Jackets' vaunted triple-option offense out of the end zone for the only time this season.

"One advantage we had was time," Mallory said. "And we worked. We put in a lot of time and effort getting ready for the bowl game.

"For the most part, we were pretty sound in everything we did."

Mallory and Peveto will reportedly be succeeded by John Chavis, former defensive coordinator at Tennessee. An announcement on Chavis' hiring is expected in the next few days.
