You can thank Luck for making that an easier decision for him

:geaux: Truth. Had Luck declared he would've definitely been ahead of Mallet, IMHO. :LSU231:

Actually, I believe Carolina has the first pick??? and they said they were taking Luck. Soooo, yes, Luck wouldve been the #1 pick and ahead of Mallet.

Oh, and the Saints wouldve had to deal with Mr Luck twice a year for a few years.

The fact that Luck isn't in the draft should have no bearing on where mallet is taken. If you are a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick with Luck in the draft you are the same 2nd or 3rd round pick if he isn't in it. Point being Ryan didn't get any better because Lucks name isn't in the hat.

I honestly feel like he is heading to the Ryan Leaf/JaMarcus Russell path. Dude is gonna get lit up in the NFL

I think he can be more productive than JR, but I just dont see the kid lasting. He gets rattled by college players. NFL is a new lvl of pain....

He might have better work ethic but he didn't impress me at all against Ohio State. Doesn't help that the guy is a prick too. He doesn't have near the footwork that JaMarcus had despite being smaller.

At least, in the NFL, Mallett will be throwing to receivers that can actually CATCH THE BALL.

(How did we ever lose to Arkansas?)
