The co- defensive co we had a few years ago didn't work well. Why is this studkrag thing working? Do we have a dual offensive co system or is stud the man and krag strictly a qb coach? There isn't any doubt that what were doing works. What do you think the dynamics of this relationship is? Isn't stud in the booth and krag on the sideline helping the offense coordinate between series? Who has made the greatest difference? Stud's playcalling and scheme or krag's influence on our qb and passing game? Can it be either/or or is this more of a joint effort where both are hand in hand?

Kelly Simmons is still the best LSU fullback I remember. He carried the ball 5 or 6 times a game and averaged over 5 yards a carry, he slipped out into the flat and received passes, and his blocking made an All-American out of Charles Alexander.

I think Stud is the front man as the OC but I believe it is a perfect gumbo of Krag/Miles/Stud. I find it hard to believe that Krag is not heavily involved(more than a QB coach) in the Offensive scheme and playcalling on gameday. IMO :tigereye:

Miles is the CEO ... Krags is the President, and Stud is the Vice President.

Miles says what he wants ... Krags gets together with Stud and comes up with strategies to give Miles what he wants ... Then Krags works on techniques of the QBs, and Stud is the Tactics guy, calling the plays within the strategy.

That's the way I imagine it is working. .. .and it is working darn well.

Make no mistake, however, this is the style offense I think CLM always wants here at LSU. It's what we had in 2007! It's what he wanted to achieve the last 2 years, but Crowton is all into this running QB, option crap.

This is why I think JLee remains at the helm, and JJ comes in as a diversion .... JLee is better suited for CLM's style of offense. It just took the "issue" to allow JLee the opportunity to show that and for CLM to step back and see it all more clearly.

I can't wait to see what krag does with mett next year. We are gonna sling the chit out of the rock with a big part of our offense coming back and almost the entire defense

No way, it will be the smash mouth run it down your throat machine it is this year. And if you stack the box, our gunslinger will hurt you with play action. There would have to be a huge drop off in O-Line and RB play for it to turn into a pass happy offence imo.

Thanks for the info; that's very interesting.

I hope Krag is able to outscheme Satan's pressure defense. The challenge for Lee is how he would handle the pressure of the Bama defense. I am sure they would try to blitz Lee, and knock him off his rhythm.
