I would like to see more play action to the tail back just as breese does with sproles. Shep would do exceptional at that.
In order for play action to work the defense has to bite on the running fake. If your running game is racking up the yards , play action works. We haven't had to go to a four wide receiver set yet. We have done it but haven't been forced to do it. If we don't have a problem running then our pass game will continue to be successful. If someone stumps our running game or we get behind in a game lee will be forced to pass. We haven't seen yet what our offense could be if we threw the ball 40 times out of three and four receiver sets. What is your take if we were to go Texas tech on someone?

    Love it

I have watched football my entire life and played just a little ! very little

the slow small can't jump white man thing

That 4th down call against Bama was one of the great calls I have ever seen made in football period. The Saints on-side kick to start the 2nd half of the SuperBowl ranks with that call.

You are right about not throwing to the backs yet. Part of the plan that is being saved for when you need it. LSU is making a good living on a basic plan and they will stay with it until they need to break more out. They run a play action drop and go deep to RR often and they do a straight drop with a 20 yard out. I have seen a 3 to 5 step drop with a curl on the left side and not much to the TE that is also open for his 2nd read.

They have to have tons of TE 1st reads in the bag with more 3 WR sets that pull the DBs back with RB flares but like you said we have not seen none of it yet.

I've been telling people about Krags, some are OC and some are QB Coaches, hes both. Lee has been getting info from the pressbox on what the defense is giving them. The KragStuds has been working out just fine. Like I said before, we didn't need a major overhaul. They have been adding to the playbook every game. :tigereye:

Krags is in his element as a QB coach, it's what he does best.

    Good job Coach Kragthorpe!

Agree with the shout out and major props to Krags, but as long as we're giving shout outs, I'd like to give one out to an unsung players on the team and that's James Stampley.

I was watching some highlights of every game so far this season and that dude is just blowing people the phuck up. Especially late in the FU game, dude was GROWLING as the ball was snapped and he ran towards the LOS just looking for someone to maul. Reminds me a ton of Quinn Johnson

linebackers are giving up 50-60 lbs to Copeland

I wouldn't want to take him on

And then Stampley is just running over people.

This is the best we have ever been at FB I do believe.

If krag was here when jl took over as a freshman he may have grown into a NFL qb. I feel sorry for jl because piss poor coaching by the crow flucked up a fine young mans career. Jj may have grown into a NFL qb also or if lee was doing great jj could have made an NFL quality tight end. So much could have been better for these guys with krag here instead of the crow. Wouldn't it be something if clm has been holding lee back and let's him go for bama. Wouldn't it be something if lee threw for 300 yards in a 35 -10 win over bama and the elf.

I started a thread a while back about who you thought was the baddest mo fo on this team. Stamply was my man. He has broken two facemask off and cracked a helment in preseason camp. Who knows what god awful damage he has done to people on other teams. He broke the facemask off of his friends and teammates helments. What did he do to other dudes he don't like? He and copeland have been flat out beast. Stamply is a bad arse mo fo!
