By Sunday morning, LSU could very well have the #1 QB Passer Rating as a team in the entire SEC. Yep, even including Arkansas and Georgia. I didn't think it was possible for our QBs to make a lot of progress in their last year here, but here we are.
Yep. If you'd have told me before the season that JLee would have only ONE pick in 6 games, I'd have thought he was riding the pine. An unbelievable about-face. I just love this offense. They do what they want. And when the opposing D expects a certain play out of a certain formation, we switch it up and make them look stupid. The play-action has been one of our biggest assets. It's good to have that element back!
Play action is indeed a huge weapon for this offense. We have only scratched the surface of it's potential. Not a lot of game film on it to see tendencies so that defenses can sniff it out better. By design by one Les Miles. The Auburn, Alabama and Arkansas games, we'll see it used often and with tremendous effect.
A superb job by Krags and it's amazing given the challenges he is dealing with. You 'da man Krags. :thumb:
Kragthorpe said before the season that we would run multiple plays out of the same formation, and we've done exactly that. The jump-pass was a great example of that. The formation and pre-snap motion were identical to the QB sneak on the previous play. Crowton would be well-served to watch & learn. THAT is how you fool people.
agree do you think that Leslie might be saving a couple of things for the short guy to see for the first time !!!!! :milesmic::miles::milesmic::miles:
The 4th down end around play to DeAngelo Peterson comes to mind from last year's game. Plenty more where that came from.
Krag has done very well coaching up Lee and Jefferson for sure. Both look much better than in previous years. Great addition to our staff.
I really enjoyed watching Krag communicate and encourage our qb during pre game practice with Kentucky. We were 6 rows up in the North End Zone and he was down there in JL's ear and patting him on the helment. Even was teaching not just watching his players. After a few passes I saw Krag take the ball and SHOW JL some mechanics on the throw. His next few were on the money. Now thats how you coach. Can't be done from the pressbox. Great Job Krag.:thumb: Hope to have you for many years.
