    CHIP "friggin" BROWN

This coming from, how should we say, "DOPE smoking U" :angryfire

Q: Why would Muschamp leave Auburn to come to Texas? Isn't that a lateral move?
    Lukin, Houston
BROWN: Muschamp would leave for the same reason Gene Chizik left. It's easier to get a head coaching job as the defensive coordinator at Texas than it is as the DC at Auburn because the SEC carries – how should we say this – certain stigmas about the cleanliness of the recruiting. It makes presidents and athletic directors nervous. No offense to SEC fans. Just telling you like it is.

I believe those are the words of Chip Brown, a writer for the Dallas Morning News, not Mack Brown, the highly paid, over-rated coach of the best team in Austin, Texas.

To be honest, Mack Brown has wanted the LSU job "forever". If I recall there was some bad blood about it. He never was taken into serious consideration (although I think he did make the list of choices once or twice). And you can't argue much with what the Longhorns accomplished in 2005. As far as the highest paid, I thought that honor belonged to the coach at Okla?:hihi:
