Ditto, except he probably won't be on the field Nov. 3rd, because he may not even qualify. I read an article yesterday where he was defending himself after his high school coach said he may not qualify, and he claimed then he has a 17 ACT. He said he was re-taking it to try and get it up to 19. On Rivals, they had been showing his ACT as a 19. Anybody care to guess where they get bad info like that? That's right, from the recruit. So he obviously has a lying problem. He has no character, so he belongs elsewhere, IMHO. Do I wish him well? Not on the field. I just hope he is able to mature and become a productive citizen at this point, for his own sake.
2 points on the ACT is not guarenteed. Hell, I took a class and went from a 29 to a 27. Pissed off that the money went to nothing I took it again and made a 32. That time I drank Red Bull. Long live Red Bull.
Exactly. And when you were 18, and made a mistake, did your parents not hold you accountable for your actions??? When I lost my scholarship after my first semester of college because I knew the bottom of a beer bottle better than I did Organic Chemistry, and finished with a whopping 2.14 GPA, did friends and family around me appologize to me for my "unfortunate situation"? HELL NO! In fact, from that first semester break until I graduated in 2001, my dad had my butt working as an oil field contractor until the LAST THING I wanted to see for the rest of my life was an entire 12-14 hour workday in the sun and heat. Why coddle Davis? Why appologize for HIS mistakes??? That's what's wrong with teenagers now-a-days as well as what's wrong with the way people think that because he's 18, he shouldn't possibly be held accountable for his actions and that we need to let him know that what he did/how he acted is ok?!?!? Ummmmm.......NO! And what POSSIBLE harsh things could he be going through?!??! his highschool friends ragging on him for going to 'Bama when probably 99% of them are either going to LSU, or are fans of LSU?!?!?! Do you think grown men are taking him "out back" and kicking his arse for not going to LSU?!! Probably not--and if so, I'd hate to run into the person that takes on 6-foot-2, 260+ lbs. Whatever Davis is going through that's so "harsh", it's only going to teach him a lesson for the future. And if it doesn't, and he learns nothing but "it's ok--people will appologize to me or for me" then he hasn't learned a thing!
Im not apologizing for him, I just saying Im no one to judge anyone. bottom line, even though he did the wrong thing, said the wrong thing.
You are recanting based on the same sources??? Maybe the thread should've read, "Luther Davis- I really need to Apologize" :hihi: :thumb:
i know, its all jacked up...this whole Saban, LD, Alabama crap...I cant stand the fact that we are getting back-doored by our old coach. It was cool when he was here, but now he's at Bama...and it dont feel right.
Time to get over it, LP. He's the enemy now, but he hasn't gotten anything from us that I wish we had back. And Luther, he's the same as Saban, Tiger Bait. That's all they are. Just like every other opponent we have. It'll just be more fun to beat 'em.
I feel absolutely no need to apologize. Its wrong what he did and how he went about it. On the other hand its wrong and stupid for people to actullay make threats or leave any sort of hate messages.
