http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6420476 After reading this article, on Luther. Even if it's basis, I think we came down to hard on this young man. Well I can only speak for myself, I judged him, by what I read in the paper, and online. I feel that regardless of a coaches rule about committing or taking visits. I was wrong for jumping on the Bandwagon and having ill feelings towards the young man. I hope he reads this site, and except my apology. I Hope and pray nothing but the best for Luther. We all are very passionate about LSU, and sometimes it consumes us. Luther, I'm sorry for judging you, and I hope your future is bright.
If someone actually left threatening message on his cell phone, then they need to apologize. I don't think any of us need to say "I'm sorry" for criticizing a kid who got on national TV and said "If I'm going to win a national championship I guess I'll do it at home"... and basically reverses field a week later.
Well, if he reads your post, he can read mine: I'm not sorry. He lied. He FABRICATED A STORY ABOUT ATTENDING HIS UNCLE"S FUNERAL when asked if he was at 'Bama on a visit! What is commendable about that?! NOTHING! He didn't get his scholly pulled because he visited 'Bama--he got it pulled because he's a freak'n liar and his character is questionable. I'm glad he's going to 'Bama....well....IF he gets his grades in order. That article is typical of a young man that is now in a situation that he himself made FUBAR and now he's going to play meek and innocent. B.S. I'm not buying it! Yes, I wish him well at 'Bama. I don't wish him harm or wish him failure...but I stand by my opinion that what he displayed in interviews immediately following Saban's in-home visit, and all the lies, just proves he doesn't belong at LSU.
He's 18 years old....Hell if I had all this attention at 18, I'd probably jack it up some how, or to some degree. But I agree with all our points on what he did was wrong. But I just want to wish him well. I dont want him to think we actually hate him as a person, cause he didn't come to LSU.
If he reads this site I have a message for him too.....You're still running your mouth and for you to question if it's o.k. to repeat other recruits' feelings that should tell you that, subconsciously, you've answered your question. It's not the last time your mouth/actions will get you in trouble. Good riddens- we'll see you Nov 3rd. It's not so much a matter of your decision for the emotions you awakened but your dishonesty and the manner in which you went about things. You and your new coach have a lot in common and deserve each other- but hey, if you like the results you're getting and it works for you then keep on truckin.
That article is typical of a young man that is now in a situation that he himself made FUBAR and now he's going to play meek and innocent. B.S. I'm not buying it! How true!!! You see so many situations where atheletes paint themselves in a corner and immediatly play the meek and innocent B.S. line in an attempt to spin doctor the situation.
Good Lord, the kid is 18 and has been a tough process for him. Lying about it was awful, but you can see why he did it. He has no coach support or local support. I hope he does well. My college choice was, well the exact opposite. My whole Bama family couldnt believe I was going to LSU, so I guess I know what he is going through.
