No one is demonizing him. And I for one, hope he has a successfull and happy life.

That said, there was a lot of crowing from the bama folks.

Maybe the bama fans shouldn't have popped off and crowed so much when he signed, singing praises to Nick "the second coming" Saban. and how the wooing of Luther Davis from Miles the Moron was proof of the impending doom of LSU.

I didn't mean that towards anyone in particular. I've seen him being talked about in a lot of places, some Bama. Hell, I laughed at tiga's joke...thought it was funny.

I'm honestly surprised the story stayed "under the radar" as long as it has (him not participating in the last two weeks of S&C) and I hope, for his sake, he can get his "ducks in a row."

On the same bar, but a different note, I hated seeing the things said about RP on different forums as well. When a kid moves on to other things besides college football I don't have a problem with people talking about the shenagins they got themselves into when they were in school. Until then, I just don't think it's a good thing to do.

    Just my view, nothing more.

As said on numerous occasions, I don't claim to like the actions of a lot of Bama fans when it comes to crowing. (should be left to USCe, right?) I recall seeing those threads. I recall how foolish I thought they were as well.

LD has/had a lot of potential. I hope he comes to the point of realizing it...no matter where he plays. (or if he does)

    Just to draw a comparison...

When we lost JR to LSU I can't say I liked it...but I never stopped rooting for him as a player. Make sense?

Every team has a few problem children. Davis is one we narrowly avoided, but we have them too, and will get them again. Coaches try to deal with it quietly.

Does it really look like a transfer for Davis?

Davis hasn't been a problem child, ie: a bunch of late night crap he's found himself in the middle of (law/arrest)...it's more of where his *head* has been...

And yes, it's just speculation on the possibility of a transfer, but based on a few things that aren't just idle theories

Although not always in a Christian spirit , some of us who are/have voiced criticism of problem-child players truly have never dealt with the same problems. For example, you'll never hear me dog a player for fathering a child out of wedlock.

Regardless, I hate this widespread callout that these apologists always use. Is it too much to ask to go to meetings, go to class, and keep yourself off of the police blotter? Kids like Herman Johnson, Ciron Black, Glenn Dorsey, and Matt Flynn managed to do it.

    same here on both accounts...

BIG difference in law issues and those that have a direct impact on say a kids education. BUT, in either situation I'm not going to be one on a bandwagon slamming a kid no matter how stupid/wrong the offense

I agree. Thing about our quarterback is, the dude has shown up on police blotters multiple times in addition to having an inability to simply do the things expected of him as an LSU student-athlete. I was/am in favor of his dismissal for consistency issues alone. If I'm a guy like Kyle Anderson right now, I'm pretty pissed.
