i missed your thread and was just coming to post this. this is gonna be a nerve wrecking day. that is one hit to our baseball recruiting class. the day could end either spectacularly, or in flames. edit: here is a link to the story on leblanc.... http://www.neworleans.com/sports/sports-blogs/ken-trahan/455175-delgados-leblanc-signs-with-boston-red-sox.html
Not if he wants to try and go in the draft again next year. All kinds of weird rules. It was the reason he went to a JUCO in the first place.
Don't you have to be 14 to get into D1 sports??? Didn't he go from like 7th grade and got a GED then JUCO baseball???
I believe he got his GED after his sophomore year. You can be in JUCO and go to the draft but if you D1, then the only way to go before the 3 year rule( or so many days till your 21st birthday) is to transfer down to JUCO. So if he were to transfer to D!, he would have to play 2 more years before he could be drafted again. Just makes no sense for him if doesn't sign with the nationals.
