could have been strategy for the opposition to prepare for him. miles does it every week. no need to beat the guy down because stupid fans felt cheated simply because their best player couldnt go. he didnt set himself up for anything. god forbid his knee actually regressed during the week.
Phillip Rivers did and he played pretty well. If Rivers can play every offense down with a torn ACL, then LT can act as a decoy in the red zone with a sprained MCL.
Would make sense if he played with a broken right arm. horrendous argument. give up your decoy angle you heard somewhere. its almost as terrible. you're smarter than that.
do you really believe that you're right? put in someone at 50% with a bum knee at running back as a decoy who your crippled qb will be dependent on to block? thats nonsense whether you believe it or not.
Dude played earlier in the game. It wasn't like he was limping when he was in there. My only point is, if you can't play the full 4Q in the biggest game of the year, at least give your team a few downs when they're in the red zone. If he had, my money says they get a TD on at least one of those trips in and it changes the whole complexion of the game. Phillip Rivers proved you can play at 50% contrary to you saying that he shouldn't have even been on the field. I realize he uses his arm more than his legs, but he was chased from the pocket more than once. It just seems to me like Rivers wanted it more. That's all.
I can agree with that wholeheartedly but for us to question one of the toughest dudes in the game the last 5 years is absurd. we've never played that level of football and to question a former MVP is pretty absurd imo. if it was a heartless player say like Aaron Brooks, Id say he was fair game. But we're talking about the most dominant player at his position for the last few years. Sometimes guys earn the benefit of the doubt. Id say he is one of them.
I thought Bush's injury was a torn MCL and actually played with it untill he got it checked and found out the extinct of his injury. Deion did play a whole season with a torn MCL and CB is not a easy position. He could have at least been off the bench and helping his teammates out. People criticise TO but he comes back faster than anyone from injuries and plays with extreme pain.
Thats my point. Do we know if LT made the decision not to play completely on his own or if the Bolts medical staff / coaches had input ?
That is a good point I never thought of but even if they didnt IMO as a coach to see my star player getting ripped like that I would have went on record and said I did.
