It's funny. Those of us who follow recruiting, even a little buit, know the names so well before they've even put on a jersey. By the time they start getting regular playing time and the average LSU fan learns about them, it feels like they've already been on the team for 7 years.
Final Class: 23. Randle 24. Mingo 25. Benton 26. JJones 27. Johns All current recruits send in their LOI's to LSU. My surprise commit is Jarvis Jones. I got Kelly going to Clemson.
Here is my order in confidence level: 23. Mingo 24. Benton 25. Randle 26. Kelly (my Surprise) Sentimore Filo Richardson Jarvis Jones Myles Montgomery Janzen and Bell stay but if someone dropped from the class it would be Bell. (I would say the chances increased) I do not expect a surprise but if there is I think it would be Kelly.
We have 23 right now if you don't count Rocky. If Rocky counts for this class we already have 24, with Benton, Randle and others still waiting to come on board. How many do you think we can take?
No one can seem to come to a conclusion on this (the experts, that is). My answer: We had 26, Duplessis and Benton were academic casualties back in 2008. Therefore, we count Duplessis back to 2008, since we only had 24 actually enroll in the Fall of 2008. I am sticking with this logic.
