I don't find Randle to be a near lock. I would say he is a lean right now considering his attitude for recruiting. I think he does end up coming here, but he is a guy who, as stated, doesn't enjoy the recruiting process, so I think if he knew where he was going, he would end it.

I believe we are credited with 22 commits so far (including Helton, Hicks, Johns and Duplessis). This isn't a projection, but more of a wish list: 23.) WR R. Randle 24.) RB T. Richardson, E. Lacey or C. Michael 25.) WR D. Benton 26.) LB B. Mingo 27.) DE Montogmery, Stinson or Logan (probably Logan) 28.) LB T. Johns 29.) S B. Moore or D. Myles I doubt we sign this many. who is Helton? I am not familar with him... Johns is a greyshirt, BTW he just picked up a 3rd star on rivals rocky, who knows hicks is counted in our 20..on all recruiting sites I doubt we go higher than 25 for 2009 Benton and Rocky are fuzzy math issues... I don't really consider them in this class.. sure they count...but they are old news...with attitrition, I place in the spots of Hatch and Dixon who are leaving
Actually this list is spot on. I am still trying to find out definitely if we can or cannot count back 1 player to 2008. If we can, then that list you have would force us to have 3 greyshirts. Of course, we'll have an academic casualty or 2 anyway, so that will help. TJones, Lacy and Johns will greyshirt most likely, and we would just wait out to see who else goes by the wayside academically and made the proper adjustments.
this is the way i see it theriot, who came in the spring counted back to 2007. benton and duplesses didn't qualified so we can count back 2. duplesses can take his spot back leaving us counting back 1. which we can use on one of the six that came in early. we can sign 27 recruits counting benton and dupeesses.
I asked Mike and he said both Benton and Duplessis would count in 2009. I asked Sonny yesterday but he did not respond as of yet. I should get back a reply some time today.
