I hope LSU wins the Recruiting war & the 5 Star race. Lord knows I want all the highly ranked players & have a heart attack when we lose one but for what its worth I wonder how many 5 star recruits Utah has... Quickness & speed is sometimes something that is overlooked on these recruiting sites. You can't coach quickness & speed but its great to have.

I bet Utah has averaged about a ranking of 40-50 these past several years.

This guy seems to be doing every bit as good as Meyer did there.

Maybe a few more that slipped past my radar.. but these are the guys I want.

    1) Sam Montgomery #3 DE
    2) Darren Myles #6 Safety
    3) Mingo #10 OLB
    4) Xavier Su'a Filo #12 OT

Honorable mention would be Sentimore. But last I heard there were a few.. concerns about him.

I'm not sure if we get any shockers this year.

We (currently) lead for Myles and Montgomery.

We have somewhat of a shot at JJones, the OLB.

We lead for Randle, although that is under dispute by others.

Su'a Filo is on the fence, although I see him staying out West.

We have an excellent shot to finish with the best class of all time on rivals.

We need to finish with most of these players however. It would also help if Benton does count in the 09 class. Let's get him in school first, however.

There has been some mention that Kelley might be a replacement for Debose but I don't think we take another WR besides Randle.

We only expected to take 2-3 WR this year and Debose was icing IMO. We will get our 2-3 we targeted from the beginning and use the scholly for another position or save it for next year.

    We'll finish this class with:

Randle, Mingo, Josh Johns, and maybe Montgomery. That's 25 total commits.

We'll probably lose out on Myles.

Personally, I'd like to see us grab another LB.

On Rivals, the BEST they've done since 2004 is 55th. Worst is in the 70s.

I wonder how many mormons are on Utah's team? It helps when you take a mission and then play as a 24 year old senior.

We won't take 30 under any circumstance that I can see.

We aren't going to sign eight 5-star athletes either. We'll be lucky to get 5.
