I think its a good sign....Kid did his time..let's move on..he gropped a girl in a college bar...whoa.....It's not like he's a convicted rapist or cecil collins......Next season JJ and JL will be seniors I think bringing this kid in will add to the competition...Unless JJ improves and cements himself as the starter, next season it will be wide open....so wth sign the kid if he shows any signs of being a f**K up...then let him go
Seems to me like we don't have anything to lose and perhaps much to gain. Your chances of winning the lottery get a LOT better if you buy a ticket.
No, I don't. This thread is about the QB position, not RB, DL, OL, TE, etc. I don't care about other issues other teams deal with in this thread, because when it comes to the QB position, LSU has never really been known to produce high quality QBs like other schools, especially within the last 3 years. Shepard was not signed to be a QB, and it should be pretty obvious by now. Sure, he was told that he'd get a shot at QB to seal the deal. Now that they barely let him play in '09, they converted him to WR this year like every other team would have had he signed elsewhere. And as Fish said, Les is 0-3, no matter the excuses, and it may not be until 2012 or 2013 before we see significant production at the QB position. I don't know, man. I remember that 10 yard bomb he tried to throw before getting knocked out of a game in '08 (was it Auburn?). I had my doubts, but when I saw him, as a starter, struggle to throw 8-9 yard passes, I knew we were in trouble. This.
Penn St has Joe Pa for a coach and is starting a true freshman QB. USC started a true freshman at QB last year too. Depth problems happen everywhere. Ours is really bad though
Yeah, but wouldn't you feel more comfortable with those freshman QBs over our junior QBs? At least they look promising from the little I have seen of them.
I don't follow PSU football all that much, but USC also has 5* QBs holding clipboards. Bad analogy there. Just because they started a freshman last year doesn't mean they have "depth problems". It means the freshman (Barkley) won the job over the likes of Mustain and that other 5* he beat out.
No. Because I'm old enough to have learned that the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. Quit being envious of everybody else and learn to deal with what is.
