    Here's another comparison:

    Bobby Bowden, Florida St
    1977 10-2
    1978 8-3
    1979 11-1
    1980 10-2
    1981 6-5

Should they have fired Bowden at this point?

Had to make drastic changes and did. Im thinking our current coach will have to do the same. Will he? We'll see.

    1971 7-4
    1972 8-4
    1973 6-5
    1974 4-7

Should they have fired him at this point?

What about Joe Paterno at Penn St?

    1980 10–2
    1981 10–2
    1982 11–1 (National Champions)
    1983 8–4
    1984 6–5

Should they have fired him at this point?

    1985 11–1
    1986 12–0 (National Champions)
    1987 8–4
    1988 5–6

Now they should fire him, right?

    1989 8-3-1
    1990 9-3
    1991 11-2
    1992 7-5
    1993 10-2
    1994 12-0 (undefeated season)
    1995 9-3
    1996 11-2
    1997 9-3
    1998 9-3
    1999 10-3
    2000 5-7
    2001 5-6

What about now? He is way past his prime.

    2002 9-4
    2003 3-9
    2004 4-7

Alright, Paterno is obviously washed up. He has to go.

    2005 11-1
    2006 9-4
    2007 9-4
    2008 11-1

He need to be fired, right?

    1966 7-4

    Wait a minute.

Someone (Mastermind?) showed stats (as if what we watch on TV isn't enough) or something to show how pitiful the defense has been to prove our defensive coaches are terrible... and you scold the poster for not having "coaching experience."

But you show records of how good Miles has been to prove that he's better than Stoops... and how long have you been a head coach?

    WTF?

Find the record for this: double standard.

I guess it's only okay to put "two and two together" if it means toting the line.

Besides, other than WCT, lp, TC, Danthetigerfan, and a couple of others, the VAST majority of the poster here support Miles.

Wrong. I haven't gotten into it yet with anyone here on TF regarding the stats of our DCs. And that is something I am still studying and thinking about. Here, in this thread, I am talking about head coaches, not assistants.

Doesn't matter. You scolded mastermind for scolding the defensive coordinators because mastermind has "no coaching experience." You are trying to make a case for how good Miles is (and I agree he is good) as a head coach and you aren't a head coach, right?

What coaching experience do you have to tell if he is a good coach or not?

Apparently to you, one doesn't need any coaching experience to tell if a coach is good... but one does need coaching experience to tell if a coach is bad, right? It's poor logic and a double standard.

    Just sayin'.
