i just read on lsusports.net that Sean Payton was at Pro Day. Anybody know who they might be looking at? I know I'm like a little kid when it comes to wanting to see my favorite players for my favorite team (Saints). Maybe Taylor would be a good addition to the secondary?
He was kinda/sorta not paying attention to most of the drills. When Ricky Jean was performing and Herm was performing, he was all eyes, though. The scouts were going at D-Byrd hard today trying to get him to break... calling him soft, telling him he should have caught a pass that was 5 yards behind him, etc... The knock according to scouts is that he shuts down when stuff don't go his way, so they tried to get him to break to prove them right -- but it didn't work. He had a good workout.
He only got 20 reps on the bench. That's not that great. Surprising he didn't run, although perhaps he's happy enough with his sub-5 time and didn't want to screw that up.
The Saints staff is at LSU's pro day every year. They are at USM's just about every year too. I wouldn't read too much into it. They are there because it doesn't take a lot of effort to pack up and drive there..
Article says he was getting ready since the bowl game just fer. I say he earned himself a hell of an at-a-boy for his efforts. Bra put down the sweet potato pie! http://www.tigergumbo.com/index.php/about-lsu-football/1008-2009-lsu-pro-timing-day

Yeah, at first LSUsports.net just had the time up there so I assumed he ran it there. Now it has an asterick saying it was his combine time.
Hadn't heard that talk in a while but I recall it being discussed during his freshman year I believe.
