There isn't any quality recruits in LA and has been dry for last 3 years. Jefferson/Lee are about as good as they are going to get. Metzenberger is suppose to enroll next semester - he has to be better than Jefferson/Lee at stage he is at. We can pray that he does. Nether of them can go downfield to open the running game. We need to find a QB.

It all may stem from a bad Offensive Cord.

Gary Crowton is the worst offensive coordinator I've ever seen, and Jefferson is playing the worst that I've ever seen a D-IA QB ever play. If Miles points to our record at the end of the year (if we don't do a complete nosedive from here on out) as evidence to why nothing should change on offense, then he probably won't make it past next year.

Watch the game again, especially after Cam throws 2 passes that his receivers have to make adjusting circus catches. Listen for the commentators saying "Lee and Jefferson are asking why can't my receivers make those catches". As I have been singing for 3 days, our receivers aren't doing our QB's any justice. JJ isn't an even fair QB at best, but when the damn ball hits you in the hands you have to catch it. Our receivers don't.

Les Miles will never in a million years allow a young upstart like Metzenberger to get ahead of his beloved JJ and even Lee in the depth chart.

    That would be blasphemy.

Correct and it hurts the confidence of the QBs. No one and not even the WRs themselves or BG are happy about it or have an excuse for dropping anything that hits them in the hands or anywhere in reach. You have to make the plays.

Not so sure about that. If we can not muster anything resembling a passing game pretty damn quick we'll be lucky to finish out this year with 1 more win. That in itself imo, spells doom for the OC... and if '11 and '12 resemble the same issues you can start sending Les best wishes cards at his new stop. I can't see another 2 seasons like '08, '09 and this season without a new HC.

Do i think Crowton could do better? Yes. However, anyone who has followed Crowton (LaTech, Bears, BYU, Oregon) ... did the man ever run out of the i formation? Much less, out of the I with 3 TE's or even 2 TEs? Nope ... that's Miles influence there.

Secondly, these are by far the worst QB's Crowton has probably ever had to coach. The QB deficiencies are exaserbated by the fact that it is always 3 and long for them because we aren't creative enough on first or second down (see running i-form ... or even JL running read option. HUH?)

Anyway, i'm ready for an OC like the fella at Bama (McElwain) ... someone that is creative running the ball and throwing it. You have to be able to run the ball to win in this conference (see UF's problems) so i am not all for the Dan Mullen/UF approach.

    Just my two cents.
