agree. esp if our oc continues as our qb coach. then it wont matter who our qb is because he will likely regress.
he doesn't. But he leads the SEC in pass efficiency, so the threat is always there and helps his running game. There is a big difference between "not needing to throw" and "incapable of throwing."
100 % correct. He looked good throwing the ball and appears he could throw for 200-250 yards every game if necessary. He is electric on that field.
Are you trying to imply that Lee can't throw? He was 72% effecient on passing going into the game and he was 7/10 before hurting his wrist. I think a good QC can coach up Lee to actually be able to do something.
The only bad one I can remember was the 4th down trick play. I think he got big eyed when he saw the receiver was wide open and just blew it on that play.
Lee can throw but we haven't seen much of it yet. A majority of his throws are short routes hence the high completion percentage but we are not calling many plays for him to go downfield with the ball. Still has some mechanic problems that were highlighted against our 1st test of a solid pass rushing defense. The pressure caused him to throw of his back foot on passes down the field and looked rattled especially after the wrist injury. I agree a good OC would help the play calling to bring out his talent and help his development.
First, I agree we need a new OC. This is the first step before anything else good can happen. While I believe that Lee has the potential to improve further with a new OC, not sure I can get excited about that as our only hope. And the chances of a new QB and coming in to start under CLM is pretty slim. So I try not to think about our QB situation next year. But I contend that we need some further improvement in the play of our OL. To me, the OL was a major problem our offense had on Saturday.
