I think a new OC could definitely make Lee better. JJ ... I don't know.

I hope something changes soon. We stuck with Miles but maybe losing Crowton would be a big spark. I know we cant win the SEC all the time. I just want to see a team playing better, showing improvements. Not regression. Records and titles are great, but ultimately thats all I want. Its not happening for three straight years. Which is cause for concern.

I think Crowton is a tired act as well. Talent wise, LSU is deep on offense yet there seems to be the feeling that if we keep doing the same thing, than one day we'll get it right. The time for change is evident. I agree that with the speed and talent of our offensive cast, we should be running all over the field at will.

Unfortunately, i don't think there will be a light unless it's the train coming to run us over. The only way any quarterback is going to succeed at LSU is if we get a top notch OC, and Les Miles doesn't meddle with the offense.

People always ask why Crowton is in the booth, and why he doesn't come down to the field, and I can answer that really easily. It's because Miles wants him in the booth so all the play calls go through him.

    Fundamentals.

    Penalties.

    Play-calling.

    QB development.

An offensive identity. (Who are we and what do we do?)

It all points to the guy in the booth.

I think LSUs entire offensive staff needs to go as well, but I believe our offensive talent thing is also a fallacy. Yeah, we got big guys that can run. We also got big guys who can run and can't catch. Our RBs are good, but nobody special. There's not an Mark Ingram or a Dalton Hilliard on this team. Throw is some questionable pass protection, horrible QBing and horrible coaching and I'm just not seeing this massive amount of talent that you see.

I know they all had 4 and 5 stars behind their name when they came out of school, but this is SEC football. Being bigger and faster than everyone will work in high school. In the SEC, most of the teams have a bunch of 4 and 5 star recruits.

I'm with you on this one.

Stop telling me about "LSU's superior talent".

Superior talent breaks tackles, catches the football, throws the football, and can open holes.

I will say this, we have some serious talent on defense, but the talent on offense appears...... overrated.

No offensive coordinator in the SEC can get anything accomplished without a quarterback who can throw the ball.

Agreed, the root of all evil is Crowton.
