I would like to see where someone can find a light at the end of this extermely dark tunnel. Maybe there is one.

Jefferson/Lee 2 headed nightmare will captain the ship again in 2011.

Maybe Metzenberger starts in 2012, but then he'll be inexperienced at the D-1 level of college football. We're not even sure he's in the bag in coming here.

The Rivers kid is already being labeled as "raw", a term that we really don't want to hear at this point, but it is what is is.

Didn't Newton come from Juco too?

Not at all saying Metzenberger is = Newton. Just saying, there's plenty of players who come from Juco and can produce in their first year.

TBH though, I hope Crowton is gone after this year and the new OC will be able to develop our QB's better. Doesn't matter who comes here - if we can't develop them it won't matter.

If we have a new OC next year, it won't matter who starts, I think we will be significantly better. I still believe we will be playing for it all next year in New Orleans if a change is made.

Hate to keep tooting this horn, but I think more can be fixed with a better OC than with a better QB.

Agreed. Crowton is a tired act and he has to be sent packing. A new OC should bring in some life, and I think the offense will respond to this in a positive way. I'm sure there is a lot of frustration at this point. That said (regarding any frustration), I hope the offense can do enough over these upcoming 4 games to give us an opportunity to win each.

Can a new OC make Lee or JJ better?

Maybe Lee, but JJ's acumen for the forward pass is non-existent.

exactly! look at all the weapons we have and possibilities, with Ware, Shepard, Ridley, Ford. An innovative OC could have a field day and create mismatches all over the place. I said before the UF game I would line up Ware all over the place and use him like UF uses Burton.

Look at our success when we have Ridley or Ware line up at FB? God forbid we throw a screen pass...

The whole team needs to be better coached. Its far beyond just play calling here. The team lacks focus and discipline. We need to get back to fundamentals.

I remember a time when he could throw a forward pass, don't you? He hasn't always looked like this.

Even if i'm wrong about GC, a change for change sakes is sometimes needed.

Bottom line to me, is the confusion after the time out, after UT, that should be grounds for dismissal alone. Miles will never say otherwise, but I am sure GC is a "dead man walking" anyway.
