It may only take Auburn giving his daddy a check for $80,000. Or he could follow his girlfriend to Alabama. Or a rogue agent could steer him to Oregon for cash.

It's a long time to signing day in 2014.

I never thought Muschamp was anything special as a coach. His defense at LSU was Nick's defense and Nick basically ran it. Nick did not hire him as a coach at Miami. He's never stuck long enough anywhere since then to really establish a reputation as a winner. He's young and may develop into a decent coach in time, but right now, I think he's seriously overrated.

Seems to be the concensus opinion on Muschamp. I very briefly looked up his Texas DC career (2008-2010 seasons), and he had mixed results. His 2nd year was better than his first but his 3rd was pretty bad as far scores against UT go. In fact, 2010 was the year that UCLA ran all over Texas and amazingly UCLA didn't have great offense against other teams. Texas got blitzed 34-12 that year. If you look at him on the sidelines, he and Derek Dooley have that same look....deer in the headlights. You look at Les Miles on the sidelines you can't even tell if LSU is ahead or behind. That is pretty much how the great coaches look...called poise.
