Blur is in reference to the speed at which they run plays, not how fast the team is... although that's fast too. Cal games was the trap game. Every good team gets them...they survived. the AZ game Oregon ran for 389 yards and 4 rushing TD's. Beat them 48-29. Not sure which game you could be referring to. Possibly ASU? Oregon scored 42 points. ASU threw 4 INT's that game, so Oregon worked with a short field much of the night. ASU knew the blur well. One drive went 8 plays 80 yards in 1:15. (Breaks down to 9.5 seconds from snap to snap). That's when they implemented the infamous "fake injury" ploy, which rocketed to popularity with teams that played Oregon.
Gimmick -an</SPAN> ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, especially one designed to attract attention or increase appeal.( AKA the SPREAD) - a concealed, usually devious aspect(Triple Option) or feature of something, as a plan or deal: </SPAN></SPAN> Look Duck, it’s not a stab at Oregon. It is what they do. Jesus, you must forget we have the Mad Hatter. The King of Trick plays….. Calm down DOOD!
I didn't have a problem keeping up with it and neither did AU. Typical no huddle, nothing new although something that needs to be prepared for. Teams without depth may be bothered, but a team that has a solid rotation shouldn't be bothered by it as long as they know it's coming. The blah offense is more of a mental thing than a physical problem for defenses.
Against AU, Oregon couldn't get their rhythm going until the 4th quarter. By that time, it was to late. IF Oregon can get it going early against LSU, they'll be in much better shape than in the AU game. That's a big if though. If our O-line doesn't grow up quick in fall camp...it's going to be U-G-L-Y!
Because AU won the battle at the line of scrimmage, their DL vs O's OL. IMO the LSU/Oregon game will be won or lost there too.
They avg. 6 plays per possession, don't see LSU getting tired(In the NC game). LSU has the depth, something we've been missing for the past few years.
