Man oh man, that Witten homerun still gets to me. Easily, the most dramatic homerun I have ever witnessed in person.

Is Laxton's performance the most dominant of any championship game? Has to be. Probably the most dominant of any college world series game, for that matter. And he was a freshman.

Also, I have never failed to shake my head in amazement when watching Morris' home run vs Miami. It's still so unreal and incredible.

Has to be. He struck out something like 16 that day, which I think is a CWSCG record. He made Darren Driefort and the rest of the Shockers look silly.

I remember just being happy that we made it past San Jose State the day before in that dramatic game where we came from behind to beat them in the 9th inning. I actually bought into the Driefort media hype and figured we'd made it to the championship game and that was the big accomplishment.

Then, we killed the Shockers both offensively and defensively. At one point, one of the announcers commented, "Darren Driefort just doesn't get treated like this..." Well, actually he did!

That '93 team is one of my all-time favorites. It was the first year I had season tickets, and I missed very few games that year. Plus, I had a major crush on catcher Adrian Antonini.

I remember that Warren Morris homerun. I was watching it with my family. After there were 2 outs, my father had given up and had already called the game as a loss. I rememeber tell him, " there is still one out to go. " He walked away from the TV and he heard me screaming after the homerun. He still kicks himself to this day for walking away from the T.V. :hihi:

That is a mirror image of what happened at our house. It was my 40th birthday. 2 outs, bottom of the ninth, I thought we were going to lose. Walked outside and then heard my son screaming, "Homerun". I ran back in time to see Morris rounding 2nd and Cora lying face down on the ground. Exciting times.

Are you sure you're not my son?
