OK, so the O scores 29 on State, when threads stated we would have trouble with them and then people agreed. Our D continued to destroy people. We averaged field position of the State 46. We ran 55 plays and got 262 yards. 16 pass plays and 96 yards. Key drops were made No ints Only projected to win by 8 Scored on 8/10 drives But we are somehow are going to struggle this year... No doubt this team isnt perfect. WE KNOW THAT, but this team has 100% more promise than last year.. 3-0 BABY!!!!! LSU FOREVER!!!
I agree, the offense needs to improve. But this is a strong TEAM. Special teams and defense are doing their part...time for the offense to step up. Time for the coaches to LET the offense step up. If that happens...Atlanta.
I'm starting to feel like this team at least has a bit of an identity. It seems we'll be relying on a very good defense to keep our offense in the game and have them make just enough plays to win it. I'll take that.
your right and we all know that SEC champ is going to depend on QB play. God I hope it comes around..
this!...last year we had no identitiy (i said tity).....we have some very good leadership..an awesome D, Great special teams...offense is just a few adjustments away...I think we've got a shot at the west!
I said it in another thread in terms of reference, but you can be successful with a dominate defense. Ohio State won a :crystal: with defense and ugly 13-10 ball games. Not saying we're BCS worthy at this point or that we're front-runners for such things, but with just even a LITTLE improvement from our offense, we CAN contend to returning to Atlanta for an SECCG. We do have that potential right now. Our :crystal: teams of '03 and '07 had both strong defenses (specifically that '03 club) and strong offenses. This year, we're seeing a damn strong defense and an offense that is seemingly waiting for things to click.
