To be fair, Burrow was pointing to his ring finger when the football team won the Championship against Clemson. I don't recall people dissing Burrow for that. But I agree, I'd much prefer to see people conduct themselves with dignity in victory.
I am probably as far from a basketball fan as you can get. I’ve got ZERO invested. LSU is getting roasted nationally. It’s a shame such a unsportsmanlike gesture has captured the narrative. Be glad when we get back to football. I think!
Thanks Angel for screwing up a great win. We all know what this is about. Stop watching the NBA decades ago now to hell with college ball.
The issue is the John Cena "you can't see me" taunt. Clark did against The Chickens and got roasted, She did it to Clark and got roasted. No real issue or problem pointing at the ring finger, issue is doing it directly at and in the face of an opponent. Don't recall Joey B doing that. He pointed at his ring finger leaving the field and to his own bench. The girls played great and deserved to win. Might have been the best girls game I've ever seen and all anyone is talking about is the taunts.
Burrow was looking at his coach, celebrating. Reese was looking at a fellow all American who played her butt off, taunting. Not the same. I’ve seen now that Clark is known for doing the John Cena thing at opponents. Also classless, but doesn’t excuse Reese. Be better. Bottom line, poor sportsmanship equates to disrespect, and no one tolerates that in any other aspect of life. Why should sports be different?
