Doesn't matter if you have a plan to stop the option, it's all about staying with your assignment and playing mistake free football. Bama won't do that, they are going to be so afraid of getting flogged by grand master Saban that they will make mistakes. 31-13 LSU
LSU 34-10. Bama may want revenge, but LSU has more talent, has a chip on their shoulder (too many talking heads picking Alabama; too many Bama folk disrespecting the LSU win), is better coached, was seasoned by a much tougher schedule, has more big play potential and will get _much_ better QB production than game 1. Bama has been unbelievably lucky. They lost in their own house, but get a do-over because of an amazing turn of events. Team Lucky. Their only national championship in an aeon? Texas's star QB goes out in the first quarter with an injury, up to which point Texas was dominating. Texas plays the rest of the NCG with a puke green QB. Better to be lucky than good.
I agree with the up tempo approach. We've run no huddle a couple of times this year, but it's always been with Lee in the game. It was very effective, too. Option...as others have mentioned, Bama may prepare for it scheme-wise, but they cannot reinvent their defense, and insert smaller, faster players to defend the option. Lonergan played, but not until JJ was in the game. At that point, he went in and T-Bob changed to guard. Lonergan was nowhere NEAR 100%.
One other thing. Bama doesn't punt, remember? They kick (attempt) FGs. If they're punting, I would be more concerned. Saban and Bama have been working and working on their FG kicking. I see it like this... LSU 27 Bama 15 5 FGs from the new and improved Bama kickers. And I don't care if that 27 comes from NINE FGs from Alleman. I'm STILL gonna say we beat 'em by two TDs. :thumb:

Some have mentioned about the up tempo approach for this game. I thought about it the other day and thought what a great way to tire that Bama D out, side to side plus up tempo. I think it is great analysis Cparso and others. JJ does seem to play really well in bowl games for some reason, I can't see this game as any different. The one factor I don't think anyone has mentioned, I can see Bama trying to knock JJ out of this game. Speaking of revenge, maybe that is a little factor in this game especially after TM7 close lined Kitpatrick. Saban can adjust all he wants, if it is up tempo and those boys get tired it aint going to matter. LSU playing Oregon style for this one game! LOLOLOL
Flip side of that equation is Bama's QB getting injured by our D. What does Bama do IF that happens? IF JJ gets hurt running the option, at least LSU has JL, who has tons of game experience to come in and a JUCO in Mett, who has more experience than most backups. Double lights out for Bama if Macarrion gets injured. This is yet, just another advantage for LSU. LSU- 31 Gumps- 16
LOL The wishbone LOL One thing about the Wishbone . JJ cannot handle that . One factor for you . Did Bama get tired in the season game . No . I can see Saban as you say taking JJ out . But Saban's game plan will be more about controlling JJ . Saban , knows what his team has to do to confuse JJ .
