Because if they win out, they would have a total of 12 wins as opposed to just Bama's 11 or OKST's 11 or LSU's 11 (if we lose 1) they would have avenged their one and only loss beating Clemson in the ACC Title game, and they are Conference Champions. And, they are playing on 12-3-11 and Bama or LSU would be sitting on their couch
VT 2011 schedule: Appalachian St. W 66-13 E. Carolina W 17-10 Arkansas State W, 26-7 Marshall W, 30-10 Clemson L, 23-3 Miami W, 38-35 Wake Forest W, 38-17 Boston College W, 30-14 Duke W, 14-10 Georgia Tech W, 36-27 North Carolina W, 24-21 Virginia ACC Championship And they are more deserving than Bama and Oklahoma St. how? The Tide and Cowboys would have blown threw the ACC without breaking a sweat.
As of now the nation doesn't believe VT is a legitimate contender. Is Virginia Tech a legitimate national title contender? - Sportsnation - ESPN But that could change.
The problem for VT is the cpu rankings. I was unable to predict this. If you are a LSU fan who wants no rematch, you want VT and Stanford to go down. OKST is now your other team. Crow tastes like chicken
That's ridiculous. They are fighting for a conference title. Those things happen in conference play, and would certainly be a factor here if you guys were in the East. In fact, I would consider it an epic showdown for the SEC title. Different story when we are talking :crystal: and we somehow find ourselves in what amounts to the loser's bracket in a double-elimination situation for you.
Like Hell! Football Fans, as opposed to just LSU fans, wish to see the two most dominant, successful teams play. I smell FEAR in the hearts of those who wish to see Bama eliminated due to the way the last game unfolded. Fanboys come in all stripes - Crimson and Purple & Gold, too.
Yep. Alabama and LSU are clearly the best teams this season which is why I'd love to see them pitted against one another, preferably in New Orleans or Atlanta.
