I agree with you on all points. Whats your take on the play calling? I think its good and bad, depends on the drive....
Other than letting Jefferson run the ball too much, I thought they mixed it up pretty well. West Virginia had a stout defense and a smart one, too. Jefferson's audibles did not fool them at all. We have dumbed down the passing game all that we can and it is still not simple enough, apparently. The receivers are still dropping too many balls, but every quarterback has to deal with that. Throwing balls at the ankles of wide open receivers is a problem. Wide open receivers that are not even glanced at is a problem. I don't think they can open up the play calling with the current bottleneck at quarterback.
If Miles doesn't at least try Lee against Tennessee, then he's basically saying this season just isn't that important. I think he owes Nevis, Sheppard and Peterson (and Tolliver) a better shot at winning the SEC than what he's giving them right now. If it doesn't work, switch back. But he's running out of time before Florida and Bama.
You downplay that our conference is elite, but then hope that you might join it one day. Your penis envy is laughable.
I really thought Jefferson would turn it around tonight... Obviously, I was wrong. My prediction was based on Jefferson stepping up his game, and if anything he looked as bad as ever.
You guys are looking for a quick fix. Put Peyton Manning in there and you are going to have similar results. LSU has the worse OC in college football, throwing another QB in there is not going to solve much.
He actually looks worse, CP. And I just don't understand it. Every now and then, I get a guy on my staff who I like and want to do well and so I give him a lot of chances to succeed. But when he starts making the whole unit look bad, then it eventually makes me look bad. That's when I have to cut a guy loose. I can't believe Les is risking a $4 million job on this one nice kid.
