I'm kind of shocked Robert Smith had anything positive to say about LSU. However Craig James can go F himself. Look around douchebag, who has what LSU has coming back? Other than Oklahoma, I can't think of anyone. That's why LSU is ranked as high as they are. I'm not saying LSU should be ranked 1 or 2 or 3, but not having them in the top 5 is just stupid. It's a sad day when Jesse Palmer is the only person on your college football panel who has any sense whatsoever and he is a damned Canadian.

It all boils down to the same old thing for LSU, no proven QB. I can understand why anyone would have doubts watching our QB play the last 3 years, plus a new offense. I too was absolutely SHOCKED by Robert Smith's praise, shocking indeed. With just average QB play LSU is Championship material. With out it the talent still gives us 9-11 wins which is great, but there will also be at least a couple losses unless one of the QB's steps up. I would have a hard time ranking LSU preseason top 5 with JJ returning at QB. If he plays up to his potential they could easily be #1, but he hasn't shown the ability to do that on an even semi consistent basis.

I agree with you, but LSU cracks my top 5 because of everyone else. Jefferson may be unproven but who isnt? Andrew Luck, and Landry Jones, Kellen Moore, and maybe Daron Thomas?

I think Herbstriet hit the nail on the head though.
All this stuff about how great Jefferson is doing in spring (did anyone watch the spring game) and how his throws are better etc.

We heard ALL that last year as well. I want JJ to well. But it is true we heard the same story last year about our offense, and it was as bad as the year before.
