This team is loaded with sophomore and freshman talent. Even losing two senior quarterbacks won't hurt with Mettenberger in the wings. IF Dworaczyk is able to return, even our OL senior losses will be OK.

I think we will be better because the D is mostly intact and another year to improve. Although we need a replacement for Claiborne, the other losses are replaceable.

The big difference is we will have a legit passing threat at QB with Mettenberger. He will keep the D a bit more honest. It will also give the coaches more confidence to throw a lil more than we do now.

We'll be much better offensively with Mettenberger.

We saw last night that our QBs, when faced with pressure, are just moderately average QBs (and that may be generous).

Mettenberger is the real deal and this team will be much more balanced offensively than this season. And no, Red, averaging the same amount of yards running and passing is not considered balanced. Passing it the same amount of times per game as running is considered balanced. Figured I would cut you off at the pass before you made that embarrassing statement again.

We are getting as much as we can out of Lee/JJ and the coaches have done a terrific job, but the upside is limited. Mettenberger's upside is through the roof.

6'5' QB towering over the line with a rocket for an arm.

    Will be nice.

I say potato, you say potahto. Stop patting yourself on the back and realize that you don't make the definitions.

How are Mettenberger's wheels. I don't expect him to run the option, but if he's flushed from the pocket can he gain some yards, ala Matt Flynn.

Yep ... next year is going to be SCARY ....

Not only will we have a great offense, but I don't think we lose a lot on Defense either. There's an awful lot of Sophmore talent on that defense.

I'm sorry to be a party pooper, but it is awfully hard to come into the SEC as a QB and take over. You can't count Cam Newton because he did it running more than passing. The rest of the team should be better though. I know Mett played in JC and that will help, but I don't expect him to light it up next year.
