LSU radio announcers: "Locker is as good of a QB as we are going to see this year... he's impressive" (no ****!) And then Locker connects on a TD pass
I think if Miles is willing to open it up we will have a strong O. Im pretty nervous with what I seen from the D though. The lack of a pass rush, poor tacking, and coverage.
Our streak against the Pac-1 continues. We haven't lost since 1979 and if not for a few late bad calls, we would've won that one too! The best was still the 23-3 bitch slapping of the Trojans in 1984 in their stadium! LSU 31 UW 23 FINAL
Dissapointing, not what I expected to see. How many sacks did LSU have against one of the worst teams in the Pac-10. A conference that kind of well. Sucks..... Its just one game, LSU will get better and play to the level the should. Jake Locker is good but if You think he is great wait until Tim Tebow, Jevon Sneed, Ryan Mallet and the likes lined up against us. Jake Locker will look like a Pop Warner QB. Anyway, i will reserve judgement personally and chalk it up as poorly prepared and expecting a blowout and the fact these kids traveled so far opening game and were playing football at midnight. Both easily fixed. All these mistakes are fixable. My biggest concern was the OL and the fact our defense give me some horrible dejavu.... We will see what next week brings. Vanderbilt would beat UW easily. So it will be a better baramoter of what this year will be like. Also Schedule makers - Next time try not to schedule a game when LSU is playing football at 1 in the morning. Bad idea.....
Twice on that drive, a lineman for Washington moved early (once on the last play for the TD) and NO ONE called it.
Did I hear that right? A guy catches his very first TD pass in college and already he's proven himself to have a bright NFL career? turrible, jes turrible
I noticed that too. If they weren't going to ever call them for holding, I knew they weren't going to call them for moving with a minute to go. What can you expect? It's Pac-1 football. Real football starts next week.
