I understand, but remeber its the first game and they are 2500 miles away from home. It is going to be okay......
I know the feeling. I was ecstatic. Now I almost feel like I did last year. I felt Washington would be improved and come to play tonight but this is ridiculous. LSU wanted to redeem themselves on D, they look just as dumbfounded and fundamentally lacking like last year. I figured LSU would pull away in the second half, but I figured they would be clearly up at half. We shall see.
A problem I see which is the same problem from last year is that our front four on defense can't get pressure on the QB and stop the run.
Halftime 17-13 LSU Jordon Jefferson in the first half: 3-of-9 (33%), 65 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 0 sacks Charles Scott: 41 yards on 10 carries (4.1 YPC), 0 TD, 1 fumble Keiland Williams: 18 yards on 3 carries (6.0 YPC), 0 TD, 0 fumbles
Apparently Les wanted to spot UW an extra 3 points before the end of the half...:huh::huh: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
This is a different UW team. People in SEC country doesn't know the history of UW football. After USC this is the most storied and prestigious Pac-10 program. Sark is making these kids believe. Remember I said this it won't be long when we get back to a top 10 team year in and year out. BTW Lee Corso predicted an upset. Even I think that prediction is crazy but he must see something we didn't in this Husky team.
I agree. We can't stop the run and the "third and Chavis" is blatantly obvious. I now see what UT fans were talking about. Our defense needs to get their act together NOW !!!!
:geaux: I believe the staff will make the necessary adjustments at halftime. They came in with not much info on what the new staff at UW was going to do, but they saw a lot the first half. My main concern is the poor tackling and no pressure on Locker. If the defensive staff can correct that I think we'll be alright. :LSU231:
