And so we begin the long march to Pasadena. I'll try not to jinx the game threads if you don't post bad gris gris in them, deal?

This game has all sorts of weird on it. Longest trip in team history, really late night start, against a previously winless team.

And they got screwed last year

Obviously we share a hate for the same team.

All these things make it hard to drum up any real animosity against the Huskies. I mean how could you get angry at a school that tailgates on boats (and not that wussy fake boat tailgate that the fighting Kiffins do)


(and it's no Death Valley, but that stadium looks pretty cool.)

But we have something to prove this year, questions at many positions that have to be answered with authority early on.

Our QB must strike with pinpoint precision.


Our RB must be the Mack Truck of old.

(BOOM!)

Our new DC must plan contained chaos.


And Les has to test the latest in blinding white tracksuit technology

In short, we must destroy them. We can't just win, we must dominate. We must wipe them out. The score must be embarrassing. We have to beat them so bad we feel bad about it later (while giggling on the inside).

So, apologies UW. We know you are great program with a long road to hoe to get back on top. And you will dominate the west coast again. Soon there will be a game where the world stands up and takes notice that you will no longer be relegated to the bottom of the PAC-10.

I think the UW fans are hoping LSU is taking them lightly.

I think the team is taking this game very seriously and very personally.

There's a chance this gets ugly early for UW. Not the greatest way to begin a program rebuilding year.

Whatever. 45-7 seems about right to me.

OK, the Huskies are now my favorite PAC1 team. I'm kinda wishy washy, so I may take that back after the game.
