I’m gonna throw out some bait for Tap here. I was watching highlights from a few games in 2007 and 2011 yesterday, and I didn’t remember them, but we actually did throw the ball back then. And not just when we were down. My memory told me that we never really threw the ball under Miles except with Mettenberger and Russell, but we even threw it with Lee and Jefferson. The closest thing we have to compare to is Mettenberger's last season. But he had two all world receivers to throw to. We have 3 this year and we are throwing to the tight end. We are on pace for 36 completions to the tight end. In Zach's senior season we had 12. The last time we completed 36 passes to the tight end we won a national championship (2007).
CEH is not dancing too much. His cuts are very efficient and effective in an Emmit Smith style. He is also powerful for a guy his size. He is perfect for this new offense. Emery is getting a taste of D1 college ball will have to learn he can't out juke or out run everyone. Once he beefs up and learns not to do the former he will be great.
