My feelings are we will have the NYT poll, but just not so sure about Peter Wolfe poll.

I actually feel better about Wolfe, due to Georgia's VERY strong position in his poll.

hmm. Good point. There was that one week where Texas jumped USC when I didn't really see how they did it. Texas beats Texas Tech, USC beats Arizona, Texas jumps ahead of them by a good margin.

What worries me about that poll is a few weeks ago, LSU beats Ole Miss, USC beats UCLA, and USC's lead actually INCREASED over us. Ole Miss was much higher ranked than was UCLA. I think that's what worries me about that poll.

You would have to go back to that week and the movement in the SOS of both teams. It could be the case that LSU had a bad week of our opponent's losing, and they had a great week.

UCLA was 6-5 that week and Ole Miss was 8-2. That could have been made up in opponent's win-loss that week.

    LSU opponents 2-4
    USC opponents 4-3

Overall that comes to USC 10-8 LSU 10-6. Then you have the opponent's opponents records, which would be impossible to come up with, but the difference could have been made up there.

You're probably right, but I won't feel good about it until I see LSU sitting in front of USC on Sunday :)

I am hoping the computer polls come up ahead of time as well as the human polls, that way we can know ahead of time. Wouldn't that be awesome....if LSU is 2nd that is!

Yeah, they all say they will be out on Sunday, but none of them will say what time on Sunday.

I'm sure you've noticed, but just in case you haven't Tellshow links to all computer polls via his site (see Computer Polls, left-hand frame).

Might be hitting refresh every 90 seconds or so this Sunday...lol.

Well he has been a bit slow on updating his website, but I am sure that's because he has a 9-5 job and the results would always come out at 5 PM on Mondays. I do not know if that will be the case this Sunday. All I know is that I will reporting results as they come in from the computer polls and human polls. I will start a new thread that has the updates and will have them as soon as they come out. I will probably not get any sleep saturday night......but you know what, who cares, it's worth it.
