Notre Dame is headed to SHEBOYgan, WISC for the 1st Annual American Standard Bowl ... bawhooooooooooooooooooosh

The only thing these worthless Irish mutts can do is spoil a
    "shot" for LSU.

This is good news. We not need any extra motivation for Notre Dame to win.

Do you think Notre Dame would actually be looking forward to playing in some small bowl? I've seen them turn down larger bowls than that. Don't think they will see an invitation from a small bowl as some great accomplishment.

Good point. Both teams do have the motivation to prevent a losing season....so that's a wash as well.

Sorry if already posted (from Tellshow)

Even more reason to root for Bowling Green tomorrow to eliminate any chance of them passing Jawja next week.

This is what I already suspected. I just do not see Miami OH passing USC in either of those 2 computer polls.

Bowling Green beats Miami OH, then we do not have to worry about how badly LSU beats Georgia. Perfect scenario.

I wouldn't be suprised if NYTimes poll ranks LSU 10 and USC 1 if both LSU and USC win out. That Poll needs to be dropped from the BSC just like the one it replaced.

I think that is also why the BCS allows each team to drop it's lowest computer poll ranking...

I don't think Noter Lame has turned down any bowls since they lifted their self-imposed bowl ban and shut LSU out of a bowl game following the '69 season. Remember, they played in the Weedeater Bowl recently.

I'd say more like 3 out of ten in Socal, and 5 out of ten north of the border. USC has played 2 good teams in conference and split them. USC beware...it is not a lock.
