A ton of experience on both lines for us. We should be strong in the trenches this year, which is very important.
A ton of “talent” or at least high recruits at RB and WR. RB: 5* Emery who hasn’t broken out yet. Followed by TDP (who I believe will be our workhorse if he can stay healthy). Also reports on the true freshman out of camp that Goodwin (kid we flipped from Auburn when Gus was fired) is getting a lot of comparisons to CEH. Kiner best RB from Ohio is evidently very very difficult to tackle in the open field. Saying he is solid. Lastly and not least, Josh Williams. Former walk-on, now on scholarship is turning heads. Came on in the Ole Miss game last year due to injuries. Said he knows the playbook in and out, finds creases at the LOS and is great in pass protection. WR: 5* Boutte, had his coming out party against Ole Miss setting SEC single game records. Saying there is great chemistry between he and Max. He will be an All SEC player, just has the “it factor”. Behind him it’s up for grabs. Jaray Jenkins is a senior who is consistent and a great leader in the locker room. I believe he will start at the 2 spot. Hearing good things about Devonta Lee finally living up to his hype after 3 position changes. Jontre Kirklin (another upper classman who sat behind Jefferson, Marshal and Chase) showing flashes as well (going back to the end of last year). 2 freshman I’m hearing about, big Brian Thomas Jr. (Comparisons to Terrace Marshal) he is physical, good hands and goes up and wins one on ones. Said he was putting Eli Ricks in a blender in camp. Also, Malik Nabers (who is now banged up and won’t play Saturday). WR spots are up for grabs right now, but a lot of talented youth there. I expect LSU to try and pound the rock Saturday and win the trenches.
A ton of pundits picking UCLA straight up in this game. ESPN has us going 7-5. LSU has the 5th most talented roster in the country. Max Johnson in his 2 starts last year 300 total yards 3 total TD’s and 500 total yards and 5 total TD’s. There is just no belief in Ed Orgeron.
