    anyone who has a problem with this decision obviously does not understand what things are like right now in br and the surrounding areas

    It's hard to tell the situation from afar, but frankly I would've been more surprised if they had played.

    The Tigers will be fine.

    how are we supposed to know? no media is reporting it (im sure some media is, but i dont read the marksville gazette).

    i guess they dont factor in the decreasing likelihood that LSU will make the SEC CG or a BCS bowl.

    I understand what's best for the people and students of BR but it sure does screw up our season. I don't have the high hopes I once had. If we make it threw this season winning 9 or more games then everyone should STFU about CLM. Losing this off date will hurt us no matter the depth we have.

    I have many friends that live in the area. Heck I'm not super far, I'm in Lafayette.

    And while I understand BR is a no go (one friend told me that the power company told her 3 - 6 weeks to get power) don't let LSU fool you.

    If they had wanted the game to happen this weekend, there was plenty of options to make it happen that didn't involve BR and Tiger Stadium.

    I'm not saying that I have a huge problem with what LSU is doing. I mean, I understand, they need to pay the bills. They're just not saints in the matter either.

    Even if they did. Most BCS games pay in the area of 1M to 1.5M to each team.

    I heard somewhere that revenue from a home game at Tiger Stadium grosses about 8M. . .

    LSU is doing what's best for LSU and that may not be what's best for the football team

    I think some are making this a bigger deal than it really is regarding our season.

    You can over analyze it all you want, but it isnt that big of a deal.
